Cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based treatments for adults with alcohol, gambling and other concerns
In the Addictions Clinic, we believe in an individualized, collaborative approach to treatment. Treatment plans are tailored to your specific goals and needs. We believe that abstinence may be the best choice for some people but not for others. We will work with you to develop and work toward your own treatment goals.
The Addictions Clinic offers services to adults with addiction-related concerns. Clinicians receive supervision and support in the diagnosis of addiction-related disorders, the administration of assessments, and the use of empirically-supported therapies, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Community Reinforcement Approach, and Mindfulness-based Relapse Prevention. Trainings and supervision are provided by experts in the UNM Center on Alcohol, Substance use, And Addictions (CASAA).
Note. The Addictions Clinic does not provide detoxification services or medication management
Anxiety
Exposure-based and transdiagnostic treatments for adults with anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and comorbid issues
The Anxiety Clinic offers outpatient services to adults with anxiety-, trauma-, and obsessive-compulsive-related disorders and comorbid conditions, including:
- Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Specific Phobia
- Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Comorbid Mood and Substance Use Disorders
Clinicians are trained and supervised in the assessment of anxiety, trauma, and common comorbid disorders and the use of empirically-supported therapies, including:
- Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Unified Protocol, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Eating Disorders
Cognitive-behavioral and transdiagnostic treatments for adults with eating disorders and body image concerns
The Eating Disorders Clinic offers outpatient services to adults with eating disorders and body image issues, including:
- Bulimia Nervosa
- Binge Eating
Clinicians are trained and supervised in the assessment of eating disorders and the use of empirically-supported therapies, including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cultural Counseling
Consultation for any client that may need culturally-sensitive assessment or treatment services
The Cultural Counseling Center provides supervision and consultation for cases in which culturally-sensitive treatment may especially be an issue
